Child/Family Violence Prevention Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The Child and Family Violence Prevention Services Coordinator (CFVPS) of the Native Council of PEI (NCPEI) will work to address lived experiences of family violence (FV) and/or gender-based violence (GBV), with the goal of reducing the risk of, or preventing entirely, future experiences of FV/GBV. Clients aided by the coordinator will primarily be off-reserve Indigenous individuals residing at Geggunas’g House, NCPEI’s shelter serving Indigenous women and 2S people (with or without children) who are leaving violent circumstances. Throughout the 8 weeks of Summer, students will be facilitating Summer Camps in four distinct communities around Eastern PEI.
