Are WorkPEI and SkillsPEI the same?
No, WorkPEI and SkillsPEI are not the same. SkillsPEI is a division of the Department of Workforce and Advanced Learning that offers programs and services to support unemployed workers across Prince Edward Island. The WorkPEI website provides information and links to programs offered by SkillsPEI.
How do I search jobs on WorkPEI?
What is the difference between WorkPEI and Job Bank?
Job Bank is a federal initiative while WorkPEI is a provincial initiative. Both websites have their own unique job boards.
Why do Job Bank ads appear on WorkPEI?
WorkPEI republishes ads from Job Bank to make it easier for job seekers to search PEI jobs from one location. When you click on Job Bank ads you will be taken to the Job Bank site in order to apply.
How do I know which jobs are from WorkPEI or Job Bank?
Jobs viewed on our homepage or on our job board indicate the source in the bottom right corner of the listing summary. You should see either WorkPEI, Job Bank or PSC (Public Service Commission of PEI).
Do I need to create an account to apply to jobs on WorkPEI?
Yes, you need to create an account to apply to jobs published by WorkPEI member employers. You do not require an account to apply to Job Bank or PSC jobs since you must apply directly on their websites once you’ve clicked on an ad.
Do I need to create an online resume to apply to jobs on WorkPEI?
No, you aren’t required to create an online resume to apply to jobs on our job board. You can choose to upload a resume when you apply to a job instead, however, by not having an online resume you won’t be found by employers searching our database for talent. Having an online resume ensures you can be seen by over 700 PEI employers who may contact you about a current or unpublished job opportunity.
Can other job seekers see my online resume?
No, only registered WorkPEI employers and WorkPEI administrators can view your online resume.
What is the economic dashboard?
The economic dashboard is a summary of key economic indicators for Prince Edward Island. These indicators include current statistics on labour, business performance, finance, consumer activity, demographics and more.
How do I know which employers are using WorkPEI?
You can click on Employers in the main navigation menu to browse a directory of registered WorkPEI employers. Employers must be validated and approved before they are allowed to post a job on WorkPEI.
I’ve forgotten my password. How do I reset my password?
To reset your password, click “Login” from the main navigation menu. Once on the Login page, click the “Lost your password?” link. You will be asked to enter your username or email address, then click on the “Get New Password” button. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Click the link, enter a new password and click submit. Then login again using your username and your new password.
You can also reset your password at any time while logged in by visiting your Account area.
I’ve forgotten my username. How do I reset my username?
If you’ve forgotten your username, try logging in with the email address used to create your account and your password. If successful, visit your Account area where you’ll see your username (write it down and keep it in a safe location). If using your email address to login does not work, please contact us.

Visit your Account area where you can change and save your email address.
