Certified Early Childhood Educator
Hours of Work: 8am-4pm Monday-Friday Job Summary: A member of our team is going on maternity leave (Feb. 3rd, 2023 to November 27th, 2023) and we are looking for a certified Level 1, 2, or 3 Early Childhood Educator (ECE) who is passionate about reconciliation and embracing the culture of First Nation children in our care, while working with the PEI Early Learning Framework. Primary Responsibilities: Offer a play-based, emergent curriculum Create, adapt, and maintain an environment that protects the health and safety of the children and adults Observe, record, and document children’s work Foster social interactions and child development Build relationships with children, parents/caregivers and families, and co-workers Other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications: Must have certification as a Level 1, 2, or 3 ECE Must have a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check must have certification in Emergency first aid/CPR Must be willing to obtain Food Safety and WHIMIS training Strong interpersonal communication (written and oral) and relationship building skills Please note: Submission requires a resume with references, accompanied by copies of Criminal/ Vulnerable sector check, First aid, and any other possible certification.
