Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Handle with Care Coordinator will be a leader and champion of the Handle with Care program, and always maintain not only the ECDA’s ends, mission and values, but as well, the integrity of the Handle with Care program in its entirety.

Reporting:
The Handle with Care Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director.

Key Duties:
The successful candidate will work closely with ECDA staff members, collaborating and having weekly check-ins to make sure that budgets, deliverables and data collection are on target.

  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing program data, facilitator data, promotional date
  • Responsible for presenting data in an interim and final report to funders
  • Create an annual Handle with Care program calendar (27 programs)
  • Responsible for developing relationships with community partners
  • Work alongside the ECDA staff, Master Trainers, and facilitators.
  • Coordinate facilitator gatherings and facilitator professional development
  • Maintain facilitator databases
  • Chair and report to Handle with Care Advisory Committee
  • Responsible for adhering to firm deadlines
  • Responsible for meeting deliverables outlined in contractual agreement with funders
  • Review and approval of grant applications and payments to programs
  • Review and approval of final reports submitted by recipients
  • Remain up to date on child development, science of resiliency
  • Responsible for co-facilitating four (4) programs per fiscal year

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Have a well-rounded and broad experience supporting children and families
  • Has experience or knowledge of the Handle with Care program
  • Ability to organize own work, set priorities, meet deadlines with minimal direction
  • Ability to complete tasks in a professional and timely manner

  • Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to professionally liaise with all stakeholders

Qualifications (Education and Experience):

  • A Diploma/Degree relating to working with children and families
  • A minimum of 3 years working with children and families
  • Valid Drivers’ license
  • Clear Criminal Record check
  • Project Management experience
  • Handle with Care Facilitation (not required/may be considered an asset)

Wages & Benefits:

  • Hourly Wage Range: $22.00 – $30.00. Wage is commensurate with experience and education.
  • Full Time (Commencing August 2024 until March 31, 2025. One-year contract with possible 1 year extension.
  • There will be evening and weekend requirements.
  • Travel will be required in many instances and will be reimbursed with a travel stipend
