Job Description:
The retail associate will be responsible for several duties including operation of point of sales system, light housekeeping, handling cash, and interacting with customers and providing great customer service to visitors to the store.
Responsibilities will include:
- Complete open and close activities for the retail location
- Perform Daily balances, handle cash, process transactions and operate the point of sales system.
- Interact with Customers, answer questions and respond to customer feedback/concerns.
- Interact with local artisans and complete inventory management as needed.
- Stock retail shelves, organize displays and price items as needed.
- Assist with social media marketing for the retail store.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as dusting, sweeping and mopping.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and/ or own transportation.
- Must be flexible to work days, evenings and weekends.
- Must have a minimum Grade 10 level of education.
- Must have great communication and time management skills.
- Must be detail orientated.
- Ability to speak fluent English and French is considered an asset.
Potential for hours to go from part time to full time.
