Are you looking for an opportunity to join a growing, creative practice focused on developing regional, contemporary design? 

Open Practice is seeking a Graduate Architect to be involved in all aspects of the practice of architecture.  This immediate full time job opening will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work directly with the principal in a small collaborative team environment across a variety of projects ranging from custom single-family homes, multi-unit buildings, commercial, and life sciences design projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the principal in a collaborative environment.
• Exposure to various project types including single-family homes, multi-unit buildings, commercial, and life sciences design projects. 
• Work in multiple project phases, including sites visits to various projects under construction.
• Development of construction drawings and details.
• Experience in BIM and other project software.
• Development of presentation drawings and renderings.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong design and graphic communication skills.
• Working knowledge of wood framed construction.
• Interest and knowledge in sustainable construction methods.
• Self-motivated, creative, hard-working, and comfortable with responsibility.
• Working knowledge of Mac Platform and associated software.
• Working knowledge of Vectorworks and Lumion would be ideal but not essential.

Required Education and Work Experience:

• Architecture Degree
• 0 – 3 years experience in a professional office 

Salary Range:  50,000 – 60,000/ year, commensurate with level of experience
