Ability to work under pressure
The successful applicant will have previous experience:
Making Menus, determine the size of food portions, and ability to do food costing
Demonstrate and promote a kitchen culture that promotes creativity and team work
Present an influential presence in the kitchen that fosters growth, learning,development and training staff.
Perform all back of house crew duties as needed including prep, butchery, working all line stations and expediting finished product to the consumer
Delegate tasks to kitchen staff, Ensures appealing plate presentation, Managing and Supervising the waiter & waitress in the dining room area.
Supervise chefs and assist as needed. Monitor of food stock and negotiating with the vendors to place orders.
Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
May clean kitchen and work area
Maintain inventory and records of food, if requested
May specialize in preparing and cooking Ethnic Cuisine
Attention to detail is a must, as is demonstrated culinary expertise. We want someone with creativity and passion to help us produce innovative dishes and provide a memorable experience for our guests.
Applicants must have experience in cooking of Asian Cuisine
Previous experience of 5 to 8 years
Previous experience as a Chef considered a strength
A Bachelors degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management is also considered a strength
Knowledge in administration work and catering services are advantage
Must possess a passion for the catering experience and the food service industry in 5 star Hotel Restaurant.
