Indian River Farms is seeking Equipment Operators who are self-motivated with good people skills.

As a Farm Equipment Operator, you will be equally responsible for repairing, troubleshooting as well as the overall condition of the farm equipment. In addition, you will be operating farm equipment for planting, harvesting and tilling. The ideal candidate will be able to obtain their Canadian class 3 driver’s license and have experience in operating farming equipment such as those listed below.

·         8 R Series John Deere Tractors
·         244J/624 Loaders
·         T670-S780 Combines
·         Rogator Self Propelled Sprayers
·         Greenstar GPS System
·         30’ Tillage Equipment
·         Spudnik 8060 Planters
·         Spudnik 9060 Hillers
·         Spudnik 6160 Windrowers
·         Spudnick 6630 Harvester

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Experience working in potato growing business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize machine operating, knowing when to conduct repairs or when to call in for Maintenance support.
  • Team player with an ability to participate in cross-functional teams
