Indian River Farms is seeking a Field Technician / Crop Scout who is self-motivated with good people skills.

Terms of Employment
The position of Field Technician / Crop Scout is a Seasonal, 40 hours a week position where wages are based on experience, range of $20 to $25/hour.

Duties

• Collecting samples of Soil, Water and Crop to identify disease and pest issues
• Planting and accuracy checks during the farming season

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be experienced with potatoes & grain fields, their diseases, and pests.
• Secondary school diploma or general education degree is preferred, as well as experience with computers and mobile devices.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Experience with potato and grain farming
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize operations in light of multiple priorities and conflicting demands
• Team player with an ability to participate in cross-functional teams
