Job Description:

General: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Social Media and Events Coordinator will work closely to support and implement all of the organizations fundraising events social media messaging, assist in planning, implementing and providing on site event coordination of Hospice PEI’s signature fundraising events, Hike and Bike for Hospice PEI, Auction to Support Hospice PEI, Let Their Light Shine, Dancing with the Stars and other small fundraisers throughout the year.   

Key Responsibilities:

Full-cycle social media management including content design, scheduling and managing posts, event promotion, engaging with the online community, and responding to comments and questions.

Events management including drafting sponsorship packages, email campaigns, stakeholder communications, press releases and presentations.

Attend events, and workshops to assist with logistics, presentations, capture photos for social media and reporting and other duties as requested by the Executive Director.

Build relationships with key stakeholders and community partners who support Hospice PEI.

Review, complete and submit, monthly documentation for reporting requirements and to enter data into a data collection portal.

Assist in the development and implementation of the organization’s brand strategy.

Develop marketing and promotion strategies to achieve immediate and long-term goals.

Identify and execute improvements for processes and content in relation to promoting all areas of the organization.

Create and implement a marketing and promotion plan that highlights programs, services and events offered by the organization.

Collaborate and design initiatives to highlight current sponsor partnerships. As well, design initiatives that will attract potential sponsors to the organization.

Assist in developing sponsor and donor packages.

Promote events including the lead-up to the event, during the event and after the event.

Liaise with clients, sponsors and donors to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction.

Assist with event planning, design and production while ensuring all project delivery elements are done within a specific timeline.

Assist with event evaluations and determine their impact to the organization.

Ability to have a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends due to event scheduling is required. Must have reliable transportation. The candidate must be comfortable meeting with businesses and individuals to obtain sponsorships, participation and maintain relationships
