Job Description: 
As the Part-Time Social Enterprise Coordinator, you will be responsible for spearheading outreach efforts to identify potential social entrepreneurs in PEI. Your role will focus on creating a supportive and collaborative environment conducive to peer learning and idea sharing. You will engage experienced mentors to provide guidance, develop a comprehensive curriculum covering essential topics such as business planning, impact measurement, and financial management, and host regular workshops, seminars, and webinars with industry experts and successful social entrepreneurs. 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to identify potential social entrepreneurs in Prince Edward Island.
  • Create and foster a supportive and collaborative environment for peer learning and idea sharing.
  • Engage experienced mentors to provide guidance and support to program participants.
  • Develop a curriculum covering essential topics such as business planning, impact measurement, and financial management.
  • Host regular workshops, seminars, and webinars with industry experts and successful social entrepreneurs.
  • Curate a library of resources, including market research, legal and financial templates, and impact assessment tools.
  • Facilitate access to affordable legal and accounting services for social enterprises.
  • Collaborate with local investors, impact funds, and philanthropic organizations to secure funding for program participants.
  • Connect program participants with a network of local businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, and potential customers.
  • Assist social entrepreneurs in measuring and reporting their social and environmental impact effectively. 
     
    Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with social enterprises is essential
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the local social entrepreneurship ecosystem in PEI is a plus.
  • Must be a resident of Prince Edward Island
