Assistant Facilities Services Supervisor

Job Description:

The City of Summerside is looking for an Assistant Facilities Services Supervisor to support our first-rate recreational properties and all that they offer.  Reporting to the Facilities Services Supervisor, this position is responsible for:

Duties:

• Operational oversight and coordination of the provision of custodial services and light mechanical support to all of the City’s recreational properties, including the Credit Union Place, the Dome, as well as all outdoor sporting fields and surfaces operated by the city.
• Attention to detail and a systems approach to maintaining the properties in safe and tip-top shape for the benefit of our customers are a daily focus.
• Navigate and lead in a fast-paced, high-energy environment that offers recreational services to city residents, hosts numerous local, provincial, and national sporting events, and acts as a venue for high caliber, world class entertainers, attracting spectators from near and far.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A post secondary diploma or degree in recreation management, hospitality services or another related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Experience:

• Experience in recruiting and supervising staff in a unionized setting would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge and experience in infrastructure management and oversite would be valuable.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Annual Salary: $70,943-$76,997
Hours: 40 hours per week
