Job Description:

The Jack Frost Winter Festival Outdoor Site Build Snow Crew.

Pre-requisites:

  • Must be EI eligible, On EI or drawn EI within the last three years.
  • Must possess good winter gear.
  • Must be able to do physical work under pressure in all types of weather.
  • Driver’s license an asset but not necessary. Driver’s License allows you to drive site machinery.

Description:

Looking to hire Outdoor Snow Kingdom Labourers for the Jack Frost Winterfest 2019 season.

This is outdoor work in all types of weather from rain to freezing temperatures.

Labourers will: set up form work, stomp snow walls, create ice slides, set up festival infrastructure, make snow, and drive fork lifts.

Labourers must work well under pressure in every type of weather, have a good sense of humour and work well with a team.

The work has many creative aspects to it and so this job can appeal to the creative individual as much construction type. All are encouraged to apply regardless of experience.

Position is approximately 6 weeks. Jan 21 – March 1. It is funded through Skills PEI. Pay is a top EI wage with possible top up.

Interested in all levels of experience but sought after skill sets include carpentry, experience with heavy machinery.
