Job Description:

JOB DETAILS:
This is atwo(2) Full-Time Employment (FTE) student contract (12-week) position. This position will be located at our Alberton  office.

Pay: $ 16.40/hour for 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 12 weeks (June 10- August 30, 2024

Job Summary
· Creates and facilitates activities for clients that promote wellness and independent living skills 
· Assists in providing navigation supports to community members in-person and by phone 
· Monitors the safety and the security of members and take appropriate action and report accordingly any issues.
· Maintains confidentiality
· Provide reception for CMHA PEI’s office in Alberton
· Assists in the cleaning and sanitation of Clubhouse  
· Performs other tasks as needed

Requirements:
Must be between the ages of 18-30 at the start date
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
 

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent resident

Education:
Grade 12 High School Diploma or GED

Key Skills and Abilities:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
• Compassionate, positive, caring and personable approach
• Ability to work on a team

Other Requirements
· A satisfactory and current criminal records  and vulnerable sector check

An asset to this position is a solid knowledge, sensitivity, and/or lived experience relating to the issues of mental health and addictions.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work maybe required
