Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion. This role involves ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Manager will coordinate with project stakeholders, supervise on-site teams, and ensure compliance with all regulations and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to define project requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
Construction Oversight:
- Manage daily construction activities and oversee all site operations.
- Supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and on-site personnel.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and specifications.
Resource Management:
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Quality and Compliance:
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
- Enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and the project team.
- Provide regular updates on project status, budget, and timelines.
- Address client concerns and incorporate feedback as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green construction standards.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on construction sites with some office work for planning and reporting.
- Requires frequent travel to project sites.
- May involve extended hours to meet project deadlines
