Job Description:

Job Title: Product Technician

Position Summary: Technicians are responsible for reviewing primary electronics and other various items to ensure they’re functional, complete, and able to be sold. Reviewing these items is necessary to ensure the company remains profitable through the practices of our Buying & Selling Associates. This includes checking to make sure items are tested, complete, and have no apparent issues when they were originally purchased. Technicians must be well versed with computers, cellphones, home audio, and other electronics. In addition, Technicians are responsible for repairing, formatting, unlocking, and improving stock to prepare for successful sales. Technicians must be capable of self-educating themselves on new trends, updates, and other factors that directly affect their duties. Technicians must be able to communicate trends, precautions, tips, and provide additional information to assist in educating Buying & Selling Associates to maximize profitability for the company.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with all customers and staff to determine their individual needs and recommend appropriate merchandise or solutions.
  • Handle all customer items with care and respect to established policies and procedures
  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls
  • Be up to date on new trends, software updates, electronics, and security features associated with devices
  • Communicate effectively with fellow coworkers and manager, displaying respect and effective communication tools
  • Communicate trends, precautions, tips, and provide additional information to assist in educating Buying & Selling Associates to maximize profitability for the company
  • Assisting co-workers with training needs and addressing these needs to management if training is further required
  • Repairing stock that is broken, incomplete, or requires maintenance
  • Ensuring all electronics requiring review are formatted, wiped, or restored in respect to established privacy policies
  • Unlocking applicable cellular devices
  • Improving, cleaning, and adding components to items
  • Partner with coworkers to create an exceptional customer experience
  • Successfully complete any additional or refresher training as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of High school
  • 18 years of age or more
  • Experience in repairs of electronics and musical equipment
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team
  • Strong and motivated work ethic
  • The desire in serving customers, and working with people
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Computer literate and very knowledgeable in operating various electronics (cellphones, computers, office machines, etc.)
