Job Description:

The Mechanic/Welder will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles, as well as performing welding tasks as needed. This role is crucial to ensuring that our machinery is operating at peak performance, allowing us to continue delivering top-notch construction services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Perform welding tasks on various types of machinery and structural components.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to address any mechanical or welding needs.
  • Ensure all repairs and welding work are completed to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Order and maintain inventory of parts and welding supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic and welder, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, welding techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and welding equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license: Class 3 with air brake endorsement preferred.
  • Certification in welding or mechanics is a plus.
