Job Description:
Copper Bottom is looking for a chef to lead their kitchen by designing & presenting unique & high quality menu items to enhance the culinary experience of our customers while maintaining all food safety standards.
- Design unique & locally inspired menu items & recipes ensuring variety & quality.
- Submit cost proposals for menu items.
- Design appealing & standardized food presentation guidelines for each dish.
- Control & direct the food preparation process in accordance with provincial food safety guidelines.
- Determine food inventory needs, stocking & ordering
- Monitor and reduce food waste
- Manage, train & delegate tasks to kitchen assistant.
- Prepare food orders as they are received by Taproom staff
- Maintain a sanitary & tidy work environment in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Clean & report maintenance needs for all kitchen equipment including dishwasher, ice machine, fridges & freezers, Merry Chef oven & Garland oven.
- Work with the Front of House manager to improve kitchen procedures & efficiency
- Lead up culinary events such as weddings, private functions & special events
