Landscaping Technician

Job Description:

We offer our customers assistance with walkways, retaining walls, patios, driveways, kitchens, fire features, landscape lighting, pillars, fencing systems, pools & spas, general landscaping and gardening, landscape designs, property maintenance and more. If you love the outdoors and love to work outside, then this is a great place for you. This position is deemed seasonal. However, there may be an opportunity for year-round work. Valid driver’s license would be an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures such as walkways, firepit areas and pool decks.
• Cut grass, rake, aerate, dethatch, fertilize and water lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain lawns and grass along roadsides.
• Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snowblowers and other landscape maintenance equipment.
• Spray and dust trees, shrubs, lawns and gardens, as directed, to control insects and disease.
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.
• Positively represent the company with a customer service mentality.
• Perform daily activities cleanly and safely using the proper safety and cleaning equipment.
• Promote a culture of 3 pillars: Customer Service, Leadership Development, Profitability.
• Adhering to the supervisor’s daily requirements and goals.
• Customer Service mentality, represent the company to the client.
• Knowledge of materials & equipment.
• Safety awareness.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Perform tasks as required with quality at hand.
• Willingness to participate in on-going training in service/products that Earthform is providing.
• Maintain physical fitness, ability to lift heavy loads & work in all types of weather conditions.
• Other activities as defined by your supervisor.
