The PEI Potato Board represents the 175 potato farms across the province, working together to ensure long-term profitability and sustainability through: marketing, advocating, negotiating, and other activities to support quality potato production.
As part of these activities, the PEI Potato Board has owned and operated Fox Island Elite Seed Farm since 1962. The purpose of the farm operation is to ensure the continued availability of high quality early generation seed potatoes for the Island industry. The Board also licenses Prince Edward Island dealers and exporters to buy and sell PEI potatoes in Canadian, United States and off-shore markets around the world.
