The Aboriginal Women’s Association of PEI (AWAPEI) is a representative organization administered by a voluntary Board of Directors. AWAPEI delivers programs and services to enhance, support, educate, and empower the wellbeing of Indigenous women through capacity building, focus groups, prevention, awareness, as well as advocating for equitable opportunities for all Indigenous families. AWAPEI is committed to partnership with all levels of government and other service organizations to improve the social, educational, and employment opportunities for First Nation, Inuit, Metis two-spirit and gender diverse people living in Prince Edward Island
