Since 1941, Northumberland Ferries has been transporting passengers and their vehicles between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. This is a 75-minute ferry trip across the Northumberland Strait between Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island and Caribou, Nova Scotia. We operate two vessels: the mv Confederation and the mv Holiday Island and employee approximately 150 people in both seasonal and year around positions.
Bay Ferries Limited operates the mv Fundy Rose between Digby, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a 2 ½ hour Ferry trip across the Bay of Fundy that operates all year. With approximately 150 employees, most positions on this service are year around.
Bay Ferries Limited operates the “The Cat” high speed ferry between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Bar Harbor, Maine. On this service, there are opportunities for night maintenance, millwrights, and electricians in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. This is a seasonal service between June and October.
