Business Description

Tronosjet is a small company with about 30 employees based in Prince Edward Island. The company has three divisions: Leasing and Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Aviation Consulting.

The Leasing and Maintenance division, established in 2004, is located in Slemon Park, PE. The division is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization and provides a range of services: heavy maintenance (BAe 146/Avro RJ and Dash 8), major modifications, and parts procurement and sales. Tronosjet has owned and managed a fleet of over 60 BAe 146/Avro RJ aircraft on behalf of third parties. The division’s experience with major modifications includes managing the design and development of a conversion for BAe 146 aircraft to aerial fire dispersant aircraft and completing the conversion on seven airframes.

The Manufacturing division, established in 2016, is located in Charlottetown, PE. The division is a Transport Canada Approved Manufacturing facility and holds additional approval for component repair and overhaul, AS9100D certification (a quality management system for aviation, space, and defence organizations) and Controlled Goods certification. The focus of the division is additive manufacturing (3D printing) which involves:

 Additive manufacturing of metals and polymers
 Machining (milling – including 5-axis, turning, and grinding)
 Thermal treatment
 Materials testing (tensile, fatigue, metallography, hardness, and density)
 Inspection (CMM and 3D scanning)

The Aviation Consulting division, established in 2014, is a specialized aviation consulting firm focused on aircraft interiors, turn-key program management, strategic sourcing, and asset management. In recent months, this division has largely focused on passenger to freighter aircraft modifications.
