In December 2024, Prince Edward Island’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.5%, higher than the rate that was registered a year earlier and up from last month’s rate. The national unemployment rate was 6.7% in December, representing an increase of 0.9 of a percentage point in comparison to last year’s rate.
