Reporting to the Director of Fleet Operations, the Logistics Support will offer support to both drivers and operations staff by assisting with the day-to-day concerns of all parties. Tasks, Duties, Responsibilities: Obtain scans of paperwork from drivers and transmit to appropriate customers brokers. Enter, review, and submit ACE/ACI manifests in a timely manner Track all pending border clearances and advise drivers once they have been cleared to cross the border, resolving any issues that arise. Monitor the movement of all shipments to track in relation to set pickup and delivery times Monitor reefer temperatures to ensure compliance with customer expectations Advise customer service representatives of any delays Monitor macros in TruckMate software to ensure they are kept up to date Submit BVD/TChek requests and send express codes to drivers Issue cash advances on Irving fuel cards as requested Provide support to logistics planners in communicating with drivers as needed Answer phone calls in a courteous and timely manner Check all written correspondence for accuracy in spelling and grammar Handle any conflict in a calm, courteous, and diplomatic manner Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Experience in the …

Logistics Planner

Bulk Carriers (P.E.I.) Ltd is hiring a Logistics Planner to join the team in Clyde River, PEI. Reporting to the Director of Fleet Operations, the Logistics Planner will manage a cohort of drivers, building relationships and maintaining familiarity with their habits, preferences, limitations, logbooks, and other relevant considerations pertaining to trip planning. Tasks, Duties, Responsibilities: Maintain clear lines of communication with drivers Make intentional efforts to ensure that drivers are satisfied in their work by learning their habits, preferences, limitations, etc. Review and approve driver pay – advising drivers of any significant issues Submit a daily report to the Master Planner detailing truck locations, destinations, ETAs, and relevant restrictions (HOS, etc.) Master Planner will provide a list of loads to be serviced by your cohort and you will assign the best available driver to ensure on time delivery Assign resources to trips and send load offers to best available drivers Monitor load progression in TruckMate and update macros as required Advise customer service representatives (CSRs) of any and all issues related to freight movement Communicate border ETAs to border compliance staff to ensure submission of documents in a timely manner Assist CSRs in finding information for the provision of customer …

The accounts payable / staff accountant will be responsible for: entering accounts payable, payment of supplier invoices using cheques and electronic payments methods, assistance in the managing supplier accounts, reconciling supplier statements, working with our accounting team to assist in reconciling expense accounts, preparing monthly reports, fuel management and payment support, and other duties as discussed with your direct supervisors. (VP Finance & Senior Accountant). This position with have weekly and monthly deadlines. The successful candidate with have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel and prior experience using SAGE would be considered an asset.
