Purchasing Agent

Responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to : Sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness while maintaining relationships with vendors. Issuing purchase orders based upon authorized purchase requisitions. Core Responsibilities: Act as a liaison on all problems or opportunities involving purchased materials between suppliers and company departments including production, sales, quality control, engineers & maintenance, the retail stores, and finance department. Maintain proper files so that products will be ordered when minimum order quantities are reached, avoiding costs and shortages.  Maintain lists and use of expendable supplies for maintenance and production.
