MarineNav Ltd. is currently seeking a Programmer.
The Opportunity
Accountable to the Senior Leadership Team, the Programmer is responsible for the research, software design and development of ROV systems and Advanced Vessel Management monitoring systems for the Canadian Coast Guard vessels. The programmer will also produce software and coding solutions to operate ROV systems, MarineNav accessories, and adaptation and integration with third-party accessories. You will also produce software and coding solutions for R & D projects as required.
Who You Are
As an ideal candidate, you are a skilled software developer with experience in designing and implementing software for marine technology, ROV systems, and vessel monitoring solutions. You have strong knowledge of programming languages and are proficient in integrating third-party hardware and software. A background in embedded systems, real-time data processing, or control systems is an asset. The candidate must be detail-oriented, innovative, and capable of troubleshooting and optimizing complex systems. Experience in R&D projects, particularly in marine or robotics applications, is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a software developer.
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages and operating systems including Windows and Linux.
