Job Description:

Edge Kitchens & Design is looking for a professional who specializes in planning and creating functional, aesthetically pleasing kitchens that meet the needs of the client while adhering to safety and building codes. This role involves a combination of design skills, technical knowledge, and a good understanding of materials and appliances. Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation:

• Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget.
•  Discuss lifestyle factors that influence kitchen design (e.g., cooking habits, family size).

Design Planning:

• Create design layouts using software tools (e.g., CAD software).
• Plan the kitchen’s layout, including cabinetry, appliances, countertops, and fixtures.
• Utilize principles of ergonomics and efficiency in the design.

Material and Product Selection:

• Advise clients on selecting materials and finishes (e.g., cabinets, countertops, flooring).
• Stay updated on the latest kitchen appliances and technology.

Budget Management:

• Provide clients with transparent cost estimates and help them manage their budgets.
• Source products that meet design and budgetary constraints.

Building Regulations:

• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Obtain necessary permits for construction.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with contractors, builders, and other tradespeople during installation.
• Coordinate the timeline and workflow of the renovation or construction process.

Project Management:

• Oversee project progression to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Address any issues that arise during the design or installation phases.

Post-Installation Support:

• Provide clients with guidance on maintaining their kitchen.
• Follow up to ensure client satisfaction with the completed kitchen.
