Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Landmark Construction. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of heavy machinery, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to perform both preventative and corrective maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of our construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and software.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure machines and equipment are operating efficiently and safely.
- Replace or repair defective parts, components, and systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with operators and other team members to identify equipment issues and solutions.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep the maintenance shop and work area clean and organized.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in heavy equipment maintenance.
