Requirements for Joining:
- Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Grade 10 Minimum (University for Officer Occupations)
- Minimum age 16 years old; Maximum age 55 years old
Members of the Navy Reserve serve in part-time and full-time roles within the Canadian Armed Forces. Their main role is to become trained in their occupation for operating at home and abroad. Reservists typically serve one or more evenings a week and/or during weekends at locations close to home. Full-time employment is available for occupational training and when the member’s are available. Reservists have the opportunity to volunteer for operational deployments.
