This hands-on role involves all aspects of cider making—from pressing apples and fermentation to packaging and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about fermentation, comfortable with physical labor, and eager to grow their skills in the craft beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in all stages of cider production: fruit processing, fermentation management, racking, blending, filtering, and packaging
  • Clean and sanitize tanks, hoses, kegs, and other equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Operate and maintain cider-making equipment, including pumps, presses, filters, and bottling/canning lines
  • Monitor fermentations, record data, and assist with lab analysis when required
  • Follow safety and cleanliness protocols to maintain a safe work environment
  • Load/unload and organize materials, such as apples, packaging supplies, and cleaning chemicals
  • Assist with quality control and sensory evaluation
  • Support seasonal tasks such as harvest prep and orchard work (if applicable)

Qualifications

  • Experience in fermentation, brewing, winemaking, or related field is a plus but not required
  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn new equipment and systems
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills
  • Passion for cider, craft beverages, and local agriculture

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

  • Basic lab skills (pH, Brix, etc.)
  • Knowledge of apples or orchard practices
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen, winery, or brewery setting

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work with a passionate team crafting high-quality cider
  • Hands-on training and mentorship
  • Potential for advancement in production or product development
  • Access to special events, tastings, and employee perks

Wage: $20-25 – experience-based.
