Student – Groundskeeper (Seasonal)

About the Opportunity

Cymbria Campground & RV Park is hiring a Seasonal Student Groundskeeper for the 2025 summer season. This role is ideal for a currently enrolled student who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping spaces clean and welcoming, and is eager to learn practical, hands-on skills.

Located on PEI’s beautiful North Shore—just 25 minutes from Charlottetown—our family-owned campground welcomes guests from across Canada, the U.S., and beyond. We offer a quieter, more nature-focused camping experience where staff and guests can truly connect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain lawns and campsites: mowing, trimming, garden upkeep
  • Split and deliver firewood
  • Clean public spaces including washrooms and the recreation room
  • Handle waste, compost, and recycling collection
  • Maintain the swimming pool
  • Assist with basic equipment and building repairs
  • Support special projects such as tree planting and trail development
  • Operate tools and equipment as trained

Qualifications

  • Must be a student (secondary or post-secondary) returning to school in fall 2025
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Friendly and outgoing, enjoys engaging with campers
  • Able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Physically fit and comfortable with lifting and manual labour
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Experience with chainsaws or carpentry is an asset, but not required
