Job Description:
As a Seasonal Labourer with the Municipal Services Department, you will be assisting with the maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the city’s streets and water & sewer lines.
Duties will include:
- Maintenance of municipal streets
- Maintenance of water and sewer lines
- Working with asphalt
- Assisting with street line painting
- Ground maintenance
- General cleaning and maintenance of Public Works building
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- Successfully completed grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
- Ability to work in all outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Have good work ethic, be dependable and be physically able to complete labour tasks.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work orders.
- Valid basic first aid and CPR certification would be considered as asset.
- Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.
