Job Description:
Job Overview:
The Assistant Brewer/Packaging Specialist will play a key role in daily brewing operations, packaging, delivery, and general brewery upkeep. This is a practical, hands-on position requiring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Prior brewing experience is preferred, but we value practical experience and a strong work ethic above all else.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of the brewing process, including wort production, fermentation management, and yeast handling
- Operate and maintain packaging equipment, including canning and kegging lines
- Maintain a clean and organized brewery environment, ensuring sanitation and safety protocols are followed
- Assist with inventory management, including raw materials and finished product
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with routine maintenance
- Collaborate with the brewing team to ensure quality control and consistency
- Assist with events, tastings, delivery, and other customer-facing activities
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate production records
Qualifications:
- Practical experience in a brewing or beverage production environment preferred
- Relevant training, experience or education in a related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Physical ability to lift 55+ lbs, maneuver kegs, and stand for extended periods
- Passion for craft beer and a willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Valid Driver’s License
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
