Job Description:

Job Overview:
The Assistant Brewer/Packaging Specialist will play a key role in daily brewing operations, packaging, delivery, and general brewery upkeep. This is a practical, hands-on position requiring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Prior brewing experience is preferred, but we value practical experience and a strong work ethic above all else.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of the brewing process, including wort production, fermentation management, and yeast handling
  • Operate and maintain packaging equipment, including canning and kegging lines
  • Maintain a clean and organized brewery environment, ensuring sanitation and safety protocols are followed
  • Assist with inventory management, including raw materials and finished product
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with routine maintenance
  • Collaborate with the brewing team to ensure quality control and consistency
  • Assist with events, tastings, delivery, and other customer-facing activities
  • Follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate production records

Qualifications:

  • Practical experience in a brewing or beverage production environment preferred
  • Relevant training, experience or education in a related field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • Physical ability to lift 55+ lbs, maneuver kegs, and stand for extended periods
  • Passion for craft beer and a willingness to learn
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
