Job Description:

Atlantic Aqua Farms is a dynamic and growing PEI company is currently accepting applications for the position of “Aquaculture Farm Labourer”.  Do you enjoy physical outdoor work?  If so, come work with us, you will sail with the sunrise and enjoy a daily water view.

Reports to: The Aquaculture Farm Labourer reports to the Boat Operator

Job Overview:

  • Performing various farming tasks on our boats and in our facility and participating in the successful production of blue mussels.
  • Wages depending on experience and include 4% vacation pay.
  • Schedule is typically Mon – Fri depending on weather, 40 – 50-hour work week.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Harvesting Mussel See
  • Tying Mussel socks to lines
  • Adding Buoy flotation to lines
  • Double socking Mussel socks
  • Operate sprayer to clean socks
  • Liming Mussel seed
  • Harvesting Mussels
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be legal age to work in Canada and/or hold a Canadian Work Permit
  • Previous fishing experience is an asset
  • Dependable
  • Hard working
  • Reliable attendance is a requirement
