Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers decreased 600 persons to 96,000 persons when comparing July 2026 to June 2026. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 3,100 persons in July 2026. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 0.9% or by 196,500. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (2.5%) while there was a year over year increase in persons employed part time (9.0%).
