Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers increased 600 persons to 93,200 persons when comparing September 2024 to August 2024. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 1,100 persons or 1.2% in September 2024. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 1.5% or by 312,600. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (+0.4%) and an increase in persons employed part time (+6.3%).
