Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers increased 1,000 persons to 96,600 persons when comparing September 2026 to August 2026. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 3,500 persons in September 2026. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 0.5% or by 94,900. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (2.1%) while there was a year over year increase in persons employed part time (14.0%).
