Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers decreased 200 persons to 96,000 persons when comparing March 2026 to February 2026. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 2,600 persons in February 2026. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 0.4% or by 87,100. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (0.2%) while there was a year over year increase in persons employed part time (20.2%).
