Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers decreased 500 persons to 93,800 persons when comparing February 2025 to January 2025. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 1,800 persons or 2.0% in February 2025. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 1.9% or by 386,800. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (+3.2%) and a decrease in persons employed part time (-5.2%).
