Job Description:

This position is perfect for an individual who is well-organized, enjoys people, and would like to make a difference in the lives of others.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for administering a volunteer visiting program. This individual screens, trains, and supervises adult senior volunteers and matches them with adult seniors who may be at risk of social isolation, for regular weekly in-home visits. Responsibilities include regular maintenance of confidential information.

In addition, the Program Coordinator presents and distributes information to promote the program, thus, must be comfortable with public speaking. The program’s home base is located in Charlottetown, however it is currently delivered in both Queens and Kings counties. As such, a vehicle is required and mileage reimbursement will be provided.

We are willing to train an individual with an applicable skill set and clear background check, but no experience working with volunteers. Please include a list of at least three references with your resume and cover letter. References should not be friends or family members.  Applicants must provide references that can verify the applicant is responsible and reliable.  In addition, the selected candidate will be required to obtain a clear criminal record check.
