POSITION: Manufacturing Data Analyst

REPORTS TO: Production Manager

SALARY: $70,000-$80,000

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent – Full Time

LOCATION: Charlottetown, PE

Job Summary:

A Manufacturing Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role involves working closely with production teams, engineers, and management to provide actionable insights based on data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather data from various sources including manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other databases.
  • Use statistical tools and software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, SQL) to analyze production data, identify trends, and detect anomalies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders, including visualizations to illustrate key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze data to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Analyze quality control data to identify defects and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
  • Support financial forecasting and budgeting efforts by providing data-driven insights.
  • Ensure strict compliance with relevant financial policies and procedures, including inventory and engineering store stock checks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of production and inventory data management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, SQL), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as APICS, PMP, or Six Sigma may be preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
