Job Description:

Overview: The Process and Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for process improvements, engineering support, technical sales assistance and procedure development. This role is instrumental in optimizing manufacturing operations, supporting sales with technical expertise, and standardizing engineering practices. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, and improve technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and refine manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance throughput.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing methods and workflows to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving engineering-related manufacturing challenges.
  • Assist the sales team in preparing technical quotations, ensuring feasibility, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review customer specifications and collaborate with engineering and production teams to define project scope.
  • Provide input on manufacturing capabilities, material requirements, and lead times for accurate pricing.
  • Ensure all technical aspects of quotations align with company production capabilities and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procedures are clearly communicated and effectively followed.
  • Ensure all procedural documentation aligns with industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3 + years engineering experience in manufacturing considered an asset.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Suite of applications, and familiarity with CAD software for technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide engineering solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineering, sales, and production teams.
