Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers increased 700 persons to 92,600 persons when comparing April 2024 to March 2024. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 3,800 persons or 4.3% in April 2024. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 1.9% or by 376,600. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (+6.4%) and a decrease in persons employed part time (-7.1%).
