JOB SUMMARY The position of Junior Estimator, is responsible for assisting in the preparation of bids, quotes and tenders. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality customer service to our clients throughout Prince Edward Island. JOB DUTIES: Assist and prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, quotes, and tenders. Review of contract drawings, specifications, and quotes at the bidding stage. Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, contract drawings and specifications. Quantity take-offs from the contract drawings and specifications Prepare and distribute Request for Quotations, solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Complete tender closing and tender submissions. Knowledge of construction procedures and materials. Read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and specifications.
