Welder / Mechanic

Under general supervision, the incumbent performs a wide variety of welding work ranging from the simple welding of non-carrying metal parts and pieces to moving parts in heavy machinery and structural steel. Most of the work is with iron and steel, but it is necessary to work with all types of metals as the occasion arises. Additionally, responsibilities include assisting in the dismantling of worn machinery and equipment and the installation of new machinery and equipment. Work assignments are initiated by oral instructions. Other duties may/will include the general maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, dump trucks and all/any other mechanic duties.  

Power Line Foreperson (Red Seal)

In this position the Foreperson directs and coordinates the work of their truck and crew responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical and telecommunication line equipment. Along with higher degrees of responsibility which correlate directly with PLT experience and demonstrated capability to supervise a crew while always staying focused on safety, possess excellent attention to detail and are a team player. Reporting to the General Foreperson.

Storekeeper

The Inventory person must be dependable, able to multitask while ensuring an organized inventory of truck/shop supplies. Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and ensuring that all products are properly stored and accounted for. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership.

Utility Arborist

In this position the UA Foreperson directs and coordinates the work of their truck and crew responsible for the tree trimming around Utility Power Lines. While always staying focused on safety, possessing excellent attention to detail and are a team player. Reporting to the UA General Foreperson. Minimum of 3 years running a truck

Power Line Technician

The Power Line technicians are responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical and telecommunication line equipment. Along with higher degrees of responsibility which correlate directly with PLT experience and demonstrate capability. The crew are to stay focused on safety, possess excellent attention to detail and are team players. The technicians will report to the Foreperson. Requirements: Qualified Red Seal Powerline Technician Trade Certification. High School Graduation Minimum Class 3 or 5 Driver’s License with Air Brakes and a clean Abstract.
