PURPOSE:
We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our Hotel Acadia team at Blackbush beach Resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
REPORTS TO:
This position reports to the Front Desk Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival, process their check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Ensure accurate information and proper handling of payments.
- Manage hotel reservations and cancellations.
- Assign rooms to guests and inform them of room features, services, and amenities.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests throughout their stay.
- Address guest concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Serve as the main point of contact for guests, handling their requests and directing them to relevant hotel departments.
- Relay important information to other hotel staff and management.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Resolve guest issues and complaints effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and respond proactively to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow hotel security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of guests and employees
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Prioritize and organize workload to meet guests’ needs and operational demands.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling reservations, payments, and guest information.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Capability to handle guest issues calmly and professionally.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with hotel management software and basic office applications.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a front desk role.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and terminology is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move luggage and other items as needed.
