Work Experience PEI – Organizations

An employment program providing financial support to non-profit community organizations for projects that provide the job seeker with a valuable work experience and potential for long term employment.

Training PEI

Training PEI program was developed to assist job seekers to gain the skills and education necessary to find and maintain employment. Financial support is provided to enable a job seeker to complete a post secondary certificate or diploma program.

Provincial Student Loans

Island students enrolled full-time in a designated post-secondary program can apply for financial assistance through both the federal and provincial student financial assistance programs by simply filling out one application.

A division of government tasked with management and delivery of employment and skills development programming funded by the Canada-PEI Labour Market Development Agreements.

Rural Action Centres

Rural Action Centres, located in Alberton, Wellington, and Montague, offer centralized access to funding, training, and business support services, connecting entrepreneurs, employers, and communities with government and nonprofit partners to foster rural economic growth.

The Graduate Mentorship Program is an employment program to help unemployed recent post secondary graduates develop new skills and gain work experience in their field of study through on the job training.

Community Service Bursary

Students can earn a Community Service Bursary through volunteering in their community. The bursary is awarded to students who lend a helping hand to non-profit organizations within Prince Edward Island.
