Island Waste Management Corporation (IWMC) is seeking applicants for the position of Human Resources Officer. This is a two-year temporary position with the possibility of permanent appointment. Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources (HR) Officer is responsible for leading human resource management services and programs for the Island Waste Management Corporation and Environmental Industrial Services Inc. (EISI). The HR Officer will develop an HR program and ensure the consistent delivery of HR services including staffing, labour relations, training, occupational health and safety, leave management, classification, position management, performance management and HR information management. Responsibilities Provide leadership, direction and expertise by giving advice in the area of Human Resources to IWMC and EISI employees and leadership team. Provide advice, support and assistance to address general labour relations matters in regards to employee concerns, workplace conflicts, investigations and performance management issues. Assist with coordinating leave management, policy development, training and development, staffing, classification and position management. Perform other administrative HR functions.
