In the third quarter of 2026, non-permanent resident (NPR) population in Prince Edward Island was 11,060, compared with a total 11,324 in the same quarter of 2025. This population consisted of 6,589 work permit holders, 2,933 study permit holders, 980 work and study permit holders, 191 Asylum claimants, protected persons and related groups and 367 other.
