FULL-TIME TEMPORARY (EXCLUDED) POSITION
(beginning immediately for approximately 2 years)
The Workers Compensation Board (WCB) helps to build safe and healthy workplaces in PEI and provides benefits and services to reduce the impact of work-related injuries and illnesses.
The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist will lead organizational change management initiatives on the WCB Business Transformation Initiative, ensuring the integration of organizational change management activities into overall program plans and timelines. This role requires expertise in managing the people side of change to ensure successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing effective change management strategies and plans, facilitating stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organization, conducting relevant organizational change management assessments, building organizational change management awareness and competencies with clients, supporting training and communication activities, monitoring change metrics and guiding change sustainment.
The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist reports to the BTI Program Manager.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Creating and executing comprehensive organizational change management strategies and effective tactical plans.
- Identifying change impacts and conducting detailed stakeholder analysis.
- Identifying and addressing potential resistance or barriers to change and developing mitigation tactics.
- Developing effective stakeholder engagement and management techniques.
- Providing organizational change management coaching and advice to senior leadership and management.
- Identifying change risks and developing related recommendations.
- Advising on the development and delivery of training content.
- Developing communication strategies, plans and related resources.
- Defining success metrics, assessing progress and adapting strategies to achieve successful change outcomes.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a post-secondary degree in a related discipline, such as organizational change management, human resources, public administration, organizational development, training or communication. Must have extensive experience (5 or more years) in organizational change management. Must have a strong knowledge of change management methodologies, tools and framework. Completion or enrollment in Prosci certification is required. Must have excellent interpersonal, writing, communication, organizational and analytical skills. Project management training would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated equivalencies will be considered and must be clearly articulated in the application process.
Bilingual in both French and English would be considered an asset.
A satisfactory criminal records check is required for this position.
