Detailer / Labourer

Job Description:

Veseys Equipment, a division of Vesey’s Seeds Ltd., serves the four Atlantic Canadian provinces with golf, municipal, and commercial grounds maintenance equipment and serves PEI with residential, professional landscaper, and tractor products from many of the industry’s most respected brands.

Role Profile: Washer/Detailer/Labourer (Golf Cars & Turf Equipment)
Purpose
Ensure all golf cars and turf equipment are safely cleaned, detailed, and prepared to company standards for sale, delivery, rental, or service. Decorate equipment, assist with equipment setup, and assist with yard organization. Possibility of local deliveries

Key Responsibilities

• Clean exterior and interior surfaces
• Detail wheels, tires, seats, dash areas
• Clean mower decks, rollers, radiators, and turf‑specific components
• Inspect for cosmetic or functional issues
• Apply decals, protective coatings, and touch‑ups

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Mechanical awareness to avoid damaging components
• Good communication and customer service skills

 Tools & Equipment

• Pressure washer (adjustable)
• Soft brushes, mitts, microfiber towels
• Plastic‑safe cleaners for acrylic windshields
• Battery corrosion tools and protectants
• PPE: gloves, boots, safety glasses

 Safety & Environmental

• Follow PPE and chemical SDS requirements
• Avoid spraying electrical systems, intakes, and bearings
• Ensure carts are powered off and stabilized
• Follow wastewater and chemical disposal procedures

Quality Standards

• Streak‑free finish
• Clean seats, mats, cup holders
• Decals applied cleanly
• Unit tagged ‘Ready for Delivery.’

Qualifications

• WHMIS/chemical safety training is recommended
• Valid driver’s license – Class 5 would be an asset

Physical Requirements

• Standing, bending, and walking for long periods
•  Work in wet or outdoor areas when needed
