Grounds Maintenance Worker

Job Description:

If you’re ready for a workout with a view, consider joining our Maintenance team this summer. The bar has been set high by our Grounds Maintenance team in maintaining our well-manicured grounds. This role includes lots of time spent outside doing various tasks that ensure the park looks beautiful and perfect for our guests. With over 200 acres, there is much to maintain and we are so lucky to have the best grounds maintenance team in the industry. Shift work will be required.

Responsibilities: 

• Grass cutting and trimming
• Emptying and tidying garbage cans
• Checking on washrooms
• Upkeep of campsites and surrounding areas (including moving picnic tables, cleaning fire pits, raking, weeding, shoveling)
• Interacting with guests frequently while responding to maintenance calls and requests
• Trimming and pruning shrubs
• Spreading wood chips and maintaining flower beds
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Must have strong adaptability and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform moderate and heavy physical activity

Working Conditions:

• Day and evening shifts. Weekdays and weekends
• Primarily working outside. Be prepared for various weather conditions – sun, rain, wind, and varying temperatures

Compensation: Starting wage is $19/hour with the potential for an increase based on experience.
