Job Description:

The Mount Continuing Care Community is looking to hire Resident Care Workers.

Duties are but not limited to:

  • Answer call signals
  • Assist residents to the bathroom
  • Supply and empty bed pans
  • Bathe, dress and groom residents
  • Serve meal trays, feed or assist in feeding of residents and assist residents with menu selection
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position residents
  • Monitor nutritional intake
  • Supervise residents’ exercise routines, set up and provide leisure activities for residents, accompany residents on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to resident care and comfort
  • Take residents’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse
  • Report or record fluid intake and output
  • Observe or monitor residents’ status and document resident care on charts
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations; collect specimens such as urine, feces or sputum
  • Administer suppositories
  • Follow proper resident transfer policies
  • Make beds and maintain residents’ rooms
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies
  • Clean and maintain all medical equipment
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Other duties as required
